Zemanová, Veronika ; Kotrusová, Miriam (advisor) ; Nekolová, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with comparison of active employment policy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I have chosen these countries because despite their similar socio- demographic conditions and common historical, economic and cultural background, we can observe many differences in unemployment between them since the introduction of a market economy. While the Czech Republic ranks among European countries with average unemployment rate, Slovakia has one of the highest unemployment rate in EU. In the first part I focus on unemployment in general, employment policy and its elements, meanings and targets of active employment policy. Further, using comparison of the average unemployment rate in both countries, I describe unemployment situation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A whole chapter is focused on specifications of five basic risk groups on the labor market as a criterion of measure analysis of active employment policy. Definition of the risk groups' situation on the labor market is based on average (un)employment rate of each single group. Individual instruments of active employment policy I describe from the perspective of disadvantaged groups of job seekers and as a result came up a chart where the instruments of active employment policy are divided by belonging to the certain...

The first part of the bachelor thesis consists of the basic information about abortion, such as its definitions, types and methods of implementation, and legislations. The second part frames the theory of the topic, specifically the development of abortions in connection with abortion legislation, methods of fertility regulation, abortion in the context of the 2nd demographic transition and contraceptive revolution. Subsequently, trends and structures of induced abortions in both Czechia and Slovakia are analyzed using indicators of demographic analysis and visualization in the form of comparative graphs. The comparative method of analysis also works with the prevalence of contraception, its level significantly affects the development of abortion and fertility at the same time and therefore ranks among the main factors in the study and interpretation of abortion trends. Keywords: induced abortion, contraception,...

Slabá, Jitka ; Rychtaříková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kraus, Jaroslav (referee)
Structures of divorced populations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia according to Census 2011 Abstract: This Bachelor Thesis is striving to characterize the population of divorced in the Czech and Slovak Republics on the basis of available data from Census which took place in 2011. The age and sex structure of the divorced is analysed at regional level. Furthermore, potential distinctive features that correlate with the size of population of the divorced on district or regional level are being searched for. The potential correlating characteristics were chosen based on known risk factors of divorce rate, which were published in demographic or sociological literature. According to assumptions the ratio of the divorced on the population is higher in the Czech Republic then in Slovakia. Moreover, the Czech population of the divorced is older compared to the one of Slovakia and the average age of divorced is higher for women than men. In the countries there is a contradictory relationship between the relative size of the population of divorced and the educational level of the population. While in the districts in the Czech Republic with greater ratio of university-educated the relative number of divorced decreases, in Slovakia their number is increasing. In both states it was proven that with increasing number...
